Daniel Gee received his MM from the University of Southern California and has studied conducting with Nick Strimple, Larry Livingston, Jo-Michael Scheibe, Don Brinegar, Michael Shasberger (Westmont College) and Kenneth Kiesler (Conductors Retreat at Medomak). His ensemble positions have included serving as Co-Conductor of the USC Thornton University Chorus and Assistant Conductor of the Westmont Orchestra. At USC, Daniel was accepted into the USC Thornton Mentorship program to work with Grant Gershon, Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Currently, Daniel serves as conducting fellow for the Long Beach Symphony. He also continues his leadership of the Evergreen Baptist Church SGV Choirs, where he founded the Evergreen Chamber Singers, an ensemble dedicated to development of the arts in the church and community outreach. He also serves a cello coach for youth orchestras in the broader LA area including the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestras and the Santa Monica Youth Orchestra.
